L'Oreal Infallible The Super Slim Liquid Eyeliner

What's the skinny on the L'Oreal Infallible Super Slim Liquid Eyeliner?

In the ongoing quest for perfect liquid eyeliner pen I move along to L'Oreal, who previous let me down with the awful Matte-matic eyeliner pencil. While that one sucked, I do love the Silkissime eyeliners and the Infallible gel eyeliner pencil that's super super pitch dark deep as pitch black. I was originally looking for their dupe of Lancome's Art Liner (since L'Oreal owns Lancome and YSL it's easy to find L'Oreal versions of a few things from each brand) but couldn't find it, and this one ended up catching my eye instead.

Basically, it does what I wanted the Pixi Lash Line Ink Eyeliner Pen to do; have a flexible felt nib and a good formula. It doesn't hurt this does stay reasonable well on my lash line too. I'd say this is about 90% a love match, but the lacking 10% could honestly be that I don't have the steadiest hand with eyeliner + hooded lids = bitch to do proper, clean wings or kitten flicks. But nothing is perfect, makeup included.

The formula is a nice black with a dry down time that isn't super quick and just about the right time you want for it to set if you need to do an extra coat or two. One thing that rustles my jimmies hard with some liner pens is the awful feathering than can happen, but luckily there isn't much of that with this. It is not a betrayer like Maybelline Line Stiletto, which used to be awesome but then something in their formula seemed to change to feathering hot mess.

I rather like it, and the little finger grippy part so I don't slip my hand while spending five minutes trying to do one flick. I do wish the cap felt more secure; it feels like it's so easy to pop off which makes me a little nervous for this pen but so far it hasn't failed in that regard...yet.

For around $8, this is a nice little eyeliner pen with a blessedly slim nib to give you the precision you want and staying power one needs when it comes to eyeliner. And really, what much else can you ask for? :)

Is this your HG liner and if not, what is?
